Kapelle Aufwind is a Berlin indie rock trio with members from Germany and the UK. Drawing on indie, rock, pop and punk, their music swings between melancholy and upbeat. Songs that read old secrets in the clouds while standing with both feet planted firmly in the tall grass.

“Letzte Nacht” (“Last Night”), the band’s debut EP, tells the familiar story of the one love that stays out of reach, and what our longings really say about us. Pain and joy sit close together, and so do dreams and reality. Kapelle Aufwind is lightness in the deep, depth in the light, and a barely noticeable wink.

Simon

VOCALS · GUITAR

Simon usually stares out of the window or up at the clouds, waiting for the next set of lyrics to appear before him.

Lars

BASS · LEAD GUITAR

Lars is the band’s perfectionist and can be both ‘Teppich’ (the carpet) on bass and ‘cherry on the cake’ on lead guitar.

Jack

DRUMS

Jack has found his calling and never tires of banging his drumsticks against solid objects. He is the band’s heartbeat.
